Free data federation mapping session
Want to understand what federating infrastructure data could look like in your region, and how to get started?
Message us below to set up a free data discovery session, where you have the chance to discuss the existing data landscape of asset or planned project data in your organisation and wider region – and we will work with you to create a free roadmap around how this can be federated using Digital Built Aotearoa Foundation‘s ecosystem of open-source, public good tools.
We will talk to you about:
- Internal data you would like to see federated
- Formats you keep your data in / your system of record
- External organisations you would like to see sharing their data
Contextual data would you find useful to include, such as bus routes, heritage items etc
Who should be involved?
We’re happy to meet with anyone from your infrastructure or leadership teams for this initial discussion, but it’s often worth having a data or GIS person sit in on these conversations so they understand the benefits from a technical standpoint.
Please note: These tools are not made available to the public, but for those in the infrastructure sector involved in the coordination of works and excavations. Users are vetted and security considerations are in place for projects and assets marked sensitive.
What goes into our tools?
Below you will see graphics of what our tools look like when they’re up and running, business-as-usual, in a council region. This includes examples of the kind of data included, where it’s sourced from, and different stakeholders who might upload and view data.
